Election congratulations to 3 who tried
We've made it pretty clear that California (un)Incorporated has had an uphill time of it getting the state Legislature to pay attention to the plight of urbanized, unincorporated communities. One of the ways to correct that is to have people from unincorporated areas get elected to the Legislature. Three people from Team Unincorporated tried to do that in the March 5th primary election. Though they did not make it into the top two runoffs for the General Election in November, we'd like to thank them from the bottom of our hearts for trying! At the very least, each of them has achieved name recognition across the districts for which they competed. Beyond that, of course, they were all able to advance the causes of their unincorporated communities. Our sincere appreciation for striving to make their communities better goes to:
- Jennifer Trichelle-Marie Williams, Westmont resident and candidate for State Senate District 35
- Sean Frame, Arden Arcade resident and candidate for Assembly District 06
- Genesis Coronado, East Los Angles resident and candidate for Assembly District 52
